Paradise Broken

PARADISE BROKEN - Written by Carroll Bryant

I wanna fall into your cloud
One look from you and I’m aroused
It only takes one time to smile
Leaving me all the while
To wilt before the speed of sound

I wanna crawl inside of you
Just to die a time or two
Make me break it all apart
A thief of lonely hearts
To falter
Too confused

I can’t hide behind your eyes
There is no difference between
Your truths and or your lies
So give me back my life
I can’t run from where you stand
Woman to man
There is no paradise

I wouldn’t wish for nothing else
A touch of heaven and a taste of hell
Jumping forward to go back
Everything that don’t, goes black
No magic for the spell

Taking chances every day
Trying hard to find the words to say
That what you think you know you feel
Can always be repealed
To live
Too abstract

I can’t hide behind your eyes
There is no difference between
Your truths and or your lies
So give me back my life
I can’t run from where you stand
Woman to man
There is no paradise

This hallowed ground you claim to walk on
Is a broken tune of time forgotten
What revolves, revolves around you
And I can’t find enough in me to give to you

I can’t hide behind your eyes
There is no difference between
Your truths and or your lies
So give me back my life
I can’t run from where you stand
Woman to man
There is no paradise

The bliss of wedding plans
Holding hand to hand
I can’t hide behind your eyes

I can’t run from where you stand
Woman to man
There is no paradise
