Too Much Love

TOO MUCH LOVE - Written by Carroll Bryant

And she walked on down to the river
And she washed away her sins
And in the moment that was now or never
She let the new begin again

And she taught herself a lesson
And then she blessed it with her hands
And then she left without a reason to wonder
She let the end begin again

Too much love is not enough love
Too much love is just not enough
Like the fatal rush of a tender touch
Too much love is just not enough

And she held onto her passion
And then she carved her thoughts in the sky
And in the hopes of keeping all of her secrets
She let her dreams become her bride

And then she told herself not to worry
And then she sang herself a song
And then she grabbed the next bus and left in a hurry
She reentered where she didn't belong

Too much love is not enough love
Too much love is just not enough
Like the fatal rush of a tender touch
Too much love is just not enough

Why do you think that the stillness and the breeze
Never meet?
Why do you think that no one believes?
Only in the time when it's time to leave
Will I leave

And she walks on down to the river
And then she cries herself back to sleep
And only in peace does she seem to fall to pieces
Scream and I will leave

Too much love is not enough love
Too much love is just not enough
Like the fatal rush of a tender touch
Too much love is just not enough

Why do you think that the stillness and the breeze
Never meet?
Why do you think that no one believes?
Only in the time when it's time to leave
Will I leave

Too much love is not enough love
Too much love is just not enough
Like the fatal rush of a tender touch
Too much love is just not enough
